Under Armour Global Headquarters

Board Form | Workplace

Concreteworks East is proud to have contributed to the new Under Armour Global Headquarters in Baltimore, a transformative waterfront campus that reflects the company’s innovation, performance, and deep connection to the city. Designed to serve as a world-class workplace and community destination, the campus brings modern architecture, open landscapes, and thoughtful details together to create a dynamic environment for Under Armour’s team and visitors.

In collaboration with 505 Design of North Carolina, Concreteworks East developed a custom board-formed concrete signage package for the campus. The scope of work included the main monumental sign featuring the iconic Under Armour logo, as well as a series of walkway and street signs that provide clear wayfinding throughout the site. In total, approximately 900 square feet of GFRC panels were fabricated for the project.

The panels were cast in our popular Coastal board-form finish, a unique finish that accentuates the natural seepage gaps between wood planks and delivers a texture with strong architectural character. To create a seamless, monolithic look, the panels were fabricated with keyed edges, along with integral corners and caps that eliminated the need for visible joints. Each element was cast in our Cumulus color, a soft tone chosen to complement the campus’ contemporary design palette while contrasting the dark metal signage.

Fabrication took place in 2023, with installation led by Triangle Sign Services. The project reached completion in 2024, and the finished signage now serves as both a functional wayfinding system and a striking architectural feature of the new Under Armour headquarters. The result is a signage package that combines durability, design precision, and visual impact, enhancing the bold identity of the campus while showcasing the versatility of GFRC board-form concrete.
