Featured Projects: The Bonnie (Bar & Eatery)

Located on 23rd Avenue in Astoria, Queens, The Bonnie is a neighborhood bar & eatery just recently opened in October 2015. Featuring two bars and an outdoor garden seating, The Bonnie brings a warm industrial vibe to the Astoria neighborhood while serving fresh and innovative cocktails & plates. Co-owner Mike Krawiec approached Concreteworks East in collaboration on the interior of The Bonnie. Mike’s vision for the 2,000 square foot space was to focus on elements of steel and glass mixed with softer woods and colors. As one of the featured elements of the interior, Concreteworks East provided concrete countertops for both of the bars. With a trowel finish, the concrete tops are full of movement and variation in enhancing the space’s raw industrial vibe while the warm beige color provides that soft contrast creating a countertop the fits perfectly within the space.
